Its mission is to preserve, document, and promote the world's distinguished cultural heritage, presenting it not as a relic of the past, but as a living foundation of modern global civilization. The Spain Heritage Project marks the debut of this international initiative, presenting Spain as a major cultural civilization whose legacy continues to connect continents, peoples, and generations. The preparatory phase of the project is nearing completion. The official launch of the Spain Heritage Project, the inaugural chapter of THE DMITRY SAVCHENKO CULTURAL HERITAGE ARCHIVE, will take place shortly. This marks the starting point of an expansive long-term initiative that will subsequently explore the cultural heritage of other nations that played a defining role in human history.

It reflects on how timeless ideals of grace, education, and service to others can guide the modern world. VIENGSAY VALDÉS and ELIER BOURZAC represent an important generation of Cuban ballet artists whose careers brought the heritage of the Cuban Ballet School to the international stage. Both distinguished themselves as leading artists of the Ballet Nacional de Cuba, performing major roles in the classical repertoire and appearing together in such works as Swan Lake, Giselle and Don Quixote. Their artistic partnership became part of the international story of Cuban ballet.

Born in Zumaia, Gipuzkoa, Spain, Lucía Lacarra is one of Spain's most internationally acclaimed ballet artists. Her extraordinary career has been recognized with the Nijinsky Award for Best Dancer, the Prix Benois de la Danse, and Spain's Premio Nacional de Danza, among numerous other international distinctions. Born in Tirana, Albania, Marlon Dino developed his international career through Geneva, Vienna, Munich and Dortmund, becoming a Principal Dancer of the Bayerisches Staatsballett and later a Permanent Guest Star of Dortmund Ballet and the Russell Maliphant Company. He received the Rosenstrauss des Jahres Award as Best Artist of the Year (2007). In 2016, in Logroño, Spain, Lucía Lacarra and Marlon Dino were jointly honored with the Biloba Award as Best Ballet Couple of the Year, recognizing their exceptional artistic partnership. THE INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE INITIATIVE
SPAIN AS A CHAPTER OF A GLOBAL CULTURAL PROJECT
The cultural heritage of Spain will form a major chapter of THE DMITRY SAVCHENKO CULTURAL HERITAGE ARCHIVE · LEGACY ACROSS CONTINENTS, a long-term international artistic and cultural initiative dedicated to documenting, interpreting and promoting historic architecture, cultural traditions, artistic heritage and distinguished people through Fine Art Photography. Spain offers an extraordinary cultural landscape in which royal and aristocratic heritage, historic cities, castles, palaces, monasteries, cathedrals, estates, equestrian traditions, theatre, ballet, music, visual arts and living cultural traditions exist alongside one another. The SPAIN HERITAGE PROJECT · The Kingdom of Spain Chapter is intended to explore this diversity not as a single regional story, but as a complex cultural heritage extending across the entire Kingdom of Spain. The project will embrace the cultural and architectural heritage of Andalusia, Aragón, Asturias, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Cantabria, Castile and León, Castile-La Mancha, Catalonia, the Valencian Community, Extremadura, Galicia, the Community of Madrid, the Region of Murcia, Navarre, the Basque Country and La Rioja, together with the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla. Within these territories, the project will explore the distinctive heritage of Almería, Cádiz, Córdoba, Granada, Huelva, Jaén, Málaga, Seville; Huesca, Teruel, Zaragoza; Asturias; the Balearic Islands; Las Palmas and Santa Cruz de Tenerife; Cantabria; Ávila, Burgos, León, Palencia, Salamanca, Segovia, Soria, Valladolid and Zamora; Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Guadalajara and Toledo; Barcelona, Girona, Lleida and Tarragona; Alicante, Castellón and Valencia; Badajoz and Cáceres; A Coruña, Lugo, Ourense and Pontevedra; Madrid; Murcia; Navarre; Álava, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa; and La Rioja.
This geographical breadth is fundamental to the project. From Andalusia and the Spanish Horse, the historic cities of Seville, Córdoba, Granada and Cádiz, and the great equestrian traditions of Jerez and southern Spain, to the castles and historic landscapes of Castile and León; from the royal and cultural heritage of Madrid to the Mediterranean architecture of Catalonia and Valencia; from Galicia and Asturias to the Basque Country, Navarre, Aragón and La Rioja; from Extremadura and Castile-La Mancha to Murcia, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands, each region represents a distinct chapter within the wider cultural heritage of Spain.
FROM SPAIN TO THE WORLD
The photographic programme will bring together architecture, heritage and the human presence. Historic castles and palaces may become settings for Fine Art Portraiture of distinguished artists, ballet dancers, actors, musicians, riders, members of historic families and other cultural figures. Equestrian heritage may be explored through portraits of horses, riders, breeders, owners, polo players and equestrian families. Historic estates, royal residences, aristocratic environments, theatres, museums and cultural institutions may become part of an evolving visual archive.The project therefore does not approach heritage as architecture alone. It explores the relationship between place, people, art, history, tradition and cultural memory. The international body of work already created by Dmitry Savchenko, including Fine Art portraits of internationally recognised actresses, ballet dancers and artistic personalities photographed in historic architectural environments around the world, provides an established artistic foundation for this new Spanish chapter.
The forthcoming Spanish programme will extend this practice into the historic environments of Spain, creating new photographic works connected with its castles, palaces, estates, theatres, cultural institutions, equestrian traditions and historic landscapes.
The SPAIN HERITAGE PROJECT is conceived as an international visual archive rather than a single exhibition or one-time photographic production. Through Fine Art Photography, historical research, exhibitions, publications, digital presentations and international cultural cooperation, the project aims to bring Spain's architectural and cultural heritage to audiences in Spain and abroad.
Future presentations may include museums, galleries, universities, cultural institutions, diplomatic and consular venues, heritage organisations, historic properties, cultural festivals and international cultural programmes, subject to institutional cooperation and approval. Funds generated through the Spain Heritage Project will support new artistic and documentary work in Spain, including photographic expeditions, Fine Art Photography projects, exhibitions, publications, research and international cultural presentations.
The project will seek cooperation with castle and palace owners, historic estates, museums, archives, foundations, universities, cultural organisations, tourism institutions, equestrian organisations, private collectors, family offices, corporate partners, patrons and regional cultural authorities.
A LIVING SPANISH HERITAGE
The purpose of the project is not simply to photograph monuments.It is to create a contemporary artistic record of a living heritage, a heritage expressed through architecture, artistic traditions, horses and horsemanship, theatre, ballet, music, family histories, historic estates, craftsmanship, landscapes and the people who continue to give these places their cultural meaning. Through the camera, historic environments become stages for new artistic narratives, while contemporary artists and distinguished personalities become part of the visual dialogue with Spain's architectural and cultural past.
SPAIN IS NOT THE END OF THE JOURNEY. IT IS THE BEGINNING OF THE ARCHIVE.
The Spanish chapter will form an important foundation of THE DMITRY SAVCHENKO CULTURAL HERITAGE ARCHIVE · LEGACY ACROSS CONTINENTS, connecting Spain's regional heritage with the wider international artistic practice of Dmitry Savchenko and with future Heritage Chapters across Europe and beyond.
